PETALING JAYA: Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari said that the National Security Council (MKN) meeting tomorrow to decide on a stricter lockdown will not include menteris besar and chief ministers from other states.

In a tweet, Amirudin said he had confirmed his attendance.

“But this evening, I was informed that the MKN meeting tomorrow will not involve menteri(s) besar and chief minister(s), unlike before.”

He said this in response to a social media user asking him if he was going to attend the meeting.

Earlier today, de facto law minister Takiyuddin Hassan said that the meeting would be chaired by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

Yesterday, Amirudin was reported to have said that there would be discussions on enforcing a total lockdown under the MCO in the state within the week.

The whole country, except Sarawak, is currently under the MCO which is scheduled to end on June 7.
