I’ve been experimenting with scalping on the 5-minute chart and came across a setup that uses Bollinger Bands, RSI, and Stochastic all together. It sounds like a solid combo to catch short-term reversals, but I’m struggling with timing — sometimes all three indicators line up too late. Just wondering if anyone here has tried this approach and found a way to keep it effective without getting overwhelmed by too many signals?
I’ve actually played around with that combo during London sessions. What helped me was keeping the Stochastic on a faster setting and using RSI as a filter instead of a signal. I got the idea from this breakdown
https://forextester.com/blog/bollinger-b...g-strategy . It gave me a decent structure without relying too much on one indicator. You still have to trust your price action reads, though.
The thing I’ve learned with scalping is that even if your indicators are solid, it all comes down to execution speed and discipline. One hesitation and the trade’s gone. Tools are helpful, but your reactions matter more when everything moves that fast.
